Orton-Gillingham Academy β Multisensory Literacy Intervention
From an early age, I was fascinated by language β how it connects people, shapes identities, and opens doors. That passion led me to the field of speech-language pathology, where I've had the privilege of helping people of all ages find their voices for over seven years.
I believe that access to high-quality speech therapy should not be determined by zip code, income, or background. That conviction drives me to serve high-need and at-risk communities, and to continually expand my clinical skills so I can meet every client where they are β linguistically, culturally, and developmentally.
I currently work at a bilingual English-Spanish school in Washington, DC, where I provide speech therapy five days a week. I am working toward full bilingualism in Spanish so I can more deeply serve the individuals and families in my community. I also hold a certification from the Orton-Gillingham Academy, which allows me to deliver specialized, multisensory literacy intervention for those with dyslexia and related reading challenges.
"Every person deserves a therapist who sees their full potential, honors their culture, and works alongside them and their support system. My goal is to be that therapist β and to make a lasting difference, one client at a time."
I am passionate about the intersection of ethics and evidence-based practice. I stay current with research and innovation to ensure that every client I work with receives the most effective, up-to-date care possible. I also believe strongly in client- and family-centered therapy β involving the people who matter most in the therapeutic process leads to better, more lasting outcomes.
